Eunji Ryu Sigfridsson completed her Bachelor’s degree at Kyung-Hee University in Seoul, South Korea, majoring in Piano (Solo Pianist) and Media Studies, Journalism, and Communications. She later earned a Master’s degree in Piano Accompaniment from the Ewha Womans College of Music in Seoul. During her Master’s studies, she worked as a pianist for the Korea National Opera and Ballet Theatre and also served as a guest pianist for the National Choir and the National Symphony Orchestra. At the same time, she gained extensive experience as a duo pianist.

After several years of experience as an accompanist in South Korea, she decided to pursue a second Master’s degree in Instrumental Duo at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, Germany, graduating with 1.0 Note in 2022. Throughout her musical career, she had the opportunity to work with renowned professors such as Ralf Gothóni, Hartmut Höll, Evgeny Sinaiski, Henri Sigfridsson, Piotr Kupka, and Oliver Kern.

Eunji Ryu Sigfridsson is a multiple award winner in national and international competitions. Her career has led her to numerous masterclasses and festivals, including the Seoul International Music Festival and the Opus Chamber Music Masterclass in Poland (with Prof. Ralf Gothóni). In 2023, she worked with Prof. Wilfried Strehle (former solo violist of the Berlin Philharmonic) in Seoul. She has also accompanied masterclasses by Adrien La Marca, Hideko Kobayashi, and Alexander Gordon. In 2024, she was the official accompanist for the San Francisco International Music Competition.

She has extensive experience as an accompanist in instrumental classes at universities in Seoul, as well as at the music universities in Cologne, Wuppertal, Essen, and Münster. Currently, Eunji Ryu Sigfridsson works as an accompanist in the viola classes of Prof. Alexander Gordon and Prof. Werner Dickel (Cologne and Wuppertal Universities of Music) and in the cello class of Prof. Young-Chang Cho (Folkwang University of the Arts, Essen).

Her major projects in 2025 include concerts and workshops with flutist Rafal Zolkos at the Taipei National University of the Arts, the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and the Manhattan School of Music in the USA. In Europe, she will perform at the Herkulessaal in Munich. Other upcoming projects include a CD production of Schubert’s Winterreise with tenor Seil Kim and a concert tour with the winner of the Max-Rostal Competition.
