
Professor of Instrumental Accompaniment
Elena Nemtsova is an internationally recognized pianist, chamber musician, collaborative pianist, and composer. Starting in March 2026, she will take up the position of Professor of Instrumental Accompaniment in the Master’s program at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz.
She also holds a professorship in solo accompaniment at the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna and serves as a Senior Lecturer in accompaniment and accompaniment practice at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz, Austria
Elena Nemtsova completed her Master’s degree in Solo Performance in Accompaniment and Postgraduate International Artist Diploma in Chamber Music at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, UK, with distinction.
As a versatile performer, she appears regularly on international stages – across Europe, Asia, and the USA – and collaborates with a wide range of renowned artists.
With the Nemtsov Duo, which she founded together with her brother, cellist Mikhail Nemtsov, she has won several international prizes, released two CDs, and performed in major concert venues worldwide – including the Royal Festival Hall, Bridgewater Hall, Opéra National de Lyon, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, and Wigmore Hall.
A strong focus of her artistic work lies in contemporary music. She has premiered numerous works and is also active as a composer. Her compositions have been performed in the UK, the Netherlands, and the USA.
