studied with Kim Kashkashian, Johannes Lüthy, Wolfram Christ, Christoph Poppen, Walter Levin, Juri Bashmet and Hartmut Rohde –  supported by the Deutschen Stiftung Musikleben and Theodor-Rogler-Stiftung – prize winner of numerous competitions among them the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Competition for viola in 2002– former member of the Kuss quartet and of the Viardot piano quartet, member of  the Solistenoktett Berlin - former co-principal violist of the Munich Philharmonic – since 2016 professor for viola at Berlin University of Arts   - many CD recordings of classical viola concerts, the solo sonatas by Mieczylsaw Weinberg, discoveries of forgotten composers up to tango by Astor Piazzolla – besides viola also viola d’amore – studies of historical performance practice with Reinhard Göbel –  many première performances of composers such as Wolfgang von Schweinitz, Marc Sabat, Gerald Eckart, Johannes Schöllhorn, Favio Daiban, Pablo Aguirre, Eva Sindichakis, Wilfried Hiller, Max Beckschäfer, Dorothea Hofmann, David Loeb und Gerardo Gandini.
